I was never too sold on the approach that Dr.Norman Vincent Peale used in his ministry.   I always felt it was a little shallow in its approach.  However, I like one of his statements that he made, when he said, "The first step to a great life is to fill your life with a positive faith that will help you through anything.  The second is to begin where you are."

I can't argue with that premise.  As a matter of fact I want to suggest that we use it for our "Thought for Today"

How do you go about filling your life with a positive faith?  Well, to begin with you dertermine to let no negative thouughts enter your mind.   If a negative thought even dares show its ugly head cast it aside immediately.   Negative thoughts are to be absolutely rejected.  You can do it.  It may seem impossible at first, but keep at it until you succeed.

I am going to offer a few positive affirmations that you can turn you mind to for help.  If you accept some of these confirmations and dwell on them over and over in your mind you can succeed in keeping any of those harmful ideas from creeping in.

How about it?   Are you willing to give it a try?   I challenge you to apply your mind for just one day, in keeping all depressing views completely out of sight and out of mind.
HERE ARE SOME POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS (Use as many or as few as you wish.)

.I am really a loving and forgiving person at heart.

My strength comes from forgiving those who hurt me.

I am completely free to be myself.

I alone am accountable for my spiritual growth.

I am at one with my Lord and my God.

My Friendly Thoughts - 26
by Earl J. Prignitz
How about it?   Are you game to give it a try for a day?   And then two?   And as many more as it takes to accomplish that goal?

After all it's your life and you alone can determine what you will do with it.

May the Lord give you strength to get on the positive track today and every day.  That's my prayer for you.  Amen
